No Name-Calling Week! January 20-24, 2020

GLSEN celebrates their 10th year anniversary of No Name-Calling Week!

Celebrate No-Name Calling Week with your children and students!

No Name-Calling Week is regulated by K-12 grade teachers that aim to stop bullying and name calling in schools. There are many ways to engage in No Name-Calling Week, whether it be at home or school. Teachers provide lesson plans that are based around anti-bullying and provide students with an opportunity to use dialogue that can address bullying. Parents can engage in open conversations with their children at home about the kind of bullying and teasing that goes on at school and what they can do to stop bullying.

No Name-Calling Week was created in 2004 by Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing with the support of GLSEN research and inspired by the book, The Misfits written by James Howe. GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives in make a difference in school systems and seeks a world where every child is valued and respected, no matter their gender or sexuality.
